2011 ONLINE AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By registering for Junior Achievement’s 2011 Online Auction, you agree to all Terms & Conditions listed below:
GENERAL AUCTION PROCEDURES:
- The Junior Achievement Online Auction will officially open at 12:00
noon, Monday, November 14, 2011 and will officially close at 8:00 pm,
Monday, November 21, 2011. The clock on the auction website will serve
as the official time clock. Highest bids received for items by 8:00 p.m.
(according to the official online auction clock) on the published date
of sale will determine winners.
- A bid becomes valid when it meets or exceeds the minimum bid
price. Any bids not made in the appropriate increment will not be
considered valid. Bids must be made in the "Bid Increment" shown on
each Item Detail page.
- The bidding history for each item will be displayed on the detail
page for that item and will include the bidder’s name, bid and time of
bid.
- In case of a tie for the highest bid, the first bid received will be considered the winning bid.
- Winning bidders will be notified by noon on Tuesday, November
22nd.
AUCTION REGISTRATION:
- You must be 18 years of age or older to register.
- When registering, you must provide accurate personal information. All required fields must be completed accurately with information that will allow Junior Achievement staff to contact you. This information is for use by our office only.
AUCTION ITEMS:
- Junior Achievement has asked our auction donors to be as explicit as possible with item descriptions and any restrictions or limitations on those items. If you bid on an item, you are agreeing to any terms or limitations that apply to those items. Please note expiration dates of items.
PAYMENT AND DELIVERY
- If you are the bidder with the highest bid for an item at the end of the auction, and the minimum bid price has been met or exceeded, you are obligated to complete the transaction for that item within two weeks of receipt of invoice. Items that are not paid for in full by the deadline will be offered to the next highest bidder. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, money order, MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Deadline for payment is Wednesday,
November 30, 2011.
- All payments made online will be processed through Global Payments. No credit card information for online payments is stored or retained by Junior Achievement. Once processed, all credit information is erased.
- Items can be picked up at the Junior Achievement office at 1422 Euclid Avenue, Suite 525, Cleveland, OH 44115 or can be mailed or shipped to the successful bidder. All standard delivery requests will incur a $5.00 shipping and handling charge. Items that cannot be shipped by standard mail are subject to shipping costs based on weight *unless otherwise specified in item description. These fees will be added to your invoice.
*Certain items are not available for mail delivery and must be picked up at the JA office.
MISCELLANEOUS RULES AND REGULATIONS:
- In the event of a power outage or system failure, Junior Achievement will re-enter bid information saved from the most recent system back up. Be aware that any bids made after the last system backup may have been lost. Once the system has been restored, bidding will resume with the highest valid bid retrieved from the most recent system back up.
- No telephone updates will be provided.
