Excellence & Ethics... an executive speaks:

Thanks to Northeast Ohio’s leadership, 2,448 high school students throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties in public, private and parochial schools participated in JA’s Excellence & Ethics…an Executive Speaks program this year.

This initiative is valuable for our students, our educators and our volunteers. In the words of one teacher: “Thank you for bringing such impressive people to our school!” Impressive people with an impressive message: making sound ethical choices, large and small, every day. Lisa Oliver, President, KeyBank – Cleveland writes: "I have been part of JA's Excellence in Ethics program for the last four years, working with Mr. Massey's senior class at Jane Addams High School.  Each year I discuss ethics, specifically as it pertains to the financial services industry, and engage the students in a dialogue about the importance of managing their own finances.

This has been an invaluable part of the partnership for them and me. They walk away with awareness about the importance of managing a checking account and credit, and I walk away knowing that the banking industry must continue to educate and support teens as they prepare to move into the workforce."

We are grateful to fine leaders of our community who stepped forward to support this important initiative. The following companies were represented during the 2009-2010 school year:
