Tips on getting involved with the Bowl-A-Thon:

Call or Email the Junior Achievement office and we will send you the materials you need to organize a team. Set a positive example. Be the first to sign up for the Bowl-A-Thon.

Ask the highest ranking officials in the company to support your team efforts in the following ways:

  • By signing up for the Bowl-A-Thon to help "get the ball rolling."

  • By sending out a letter or memo informing your employees or department managers about the Bowl-A-Thon and encouraging them to join the company team

  • By authorizing the purchase of company T-shirts for all team members (optional - promote your company while you bowl)!

  • By designating a manager or employee in every department to serve as the Team Captain for their area

Post event flyers and posters in prominent places throughout the workplace.

Set goals for the money your team will raise and motivate your bowlers to achieve those goals.

Highlight your team building progress through regular articles in the company newsletter, email alerts or progress report memos to employees or department managers.

Offer incentive prizes for top bowlers or departments, involve your vendors in your fund raising efforts. Make the Bowl-A-Thon fun!

Encourage employees to sign up coworkers, family members and friends to bowl as members of your team.

Set up an informational session for your employees
A representative from Junior Achievement will meet your staff to discuss the different ways to get involved with JA. This can be a casual gathering, during a staff meeting or a scheduled breakfast or lunch. The informational session is interesting and fun!
