JA Titan teaches high school students how to make critical business decisions as they run their own company in this interactive online simulation program. Students are challenged to increase sales and profits, react to their competition, try new business strategies and respond to changing market conditions.
Coupled with the mentorship of a volunteer in the classroom, students apply their knowledge of business as they compete online in the highly competitive industry of the fictional Holo-Generator. While simulating business quarters, students learn to make decisions on price, production, marketing, capital investment, and research and development. The impact of their decisions will eventually lead to the success or failure of their Holo-Generator company, providing students with a very realistic understanding of how economic choices affect the viability of their company.

JA Greater Cleveland’s Annual Titan Competition
Every April, students from area high schools participating in the JA Titan program gather to compete against one another in the Annual JA Titan Competition hosted by Parker Hannifin. As many as 24 student teams attend annually along with their teachers and JA volunteers. This is a great opportunity for students to flex their business decision-making muscles and see which teams have what it takes to be a ‘Titan of Industry’. The top 3 teams will take home cash prizes and bragging rights! Details for the 2014 Titan Competition will be announced soon, check back in September for more information!
